Theresa Almeida was born and raised in Southern California. Her mother was an arts and crafts teacher and her first interaction with fiber arts began at a very young age with learning crochet, macrame, and many other art forms. As an adult, Theresa taught herself to knit while living in Germany where she began to study the technical aspects of knitting. Later on she relocated to Massachusetts near WEBS where the creative atmosphere, amazing yarn selection, and expert knitting instruction inspired her to achieve expert knitting levels. During this time is when she originally began designing her own patterns inspired by her travels of the world.
Theresa has self-published patterns and teaches at local stores in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Her graphic yet simple designs are inviting to all levels of knitters.
